News Flash: you don’t have to do it alone!
In Content Editing and Script Services, I concentrate on marketable product. Whether it is a novel, script, a work of non-fiction or a memoir, the focus is on a marketable/saleable manuscript or script. I am interested in perfecting your product.
When I wear my coach hat, the center of my focus changes from the product to you. The product is still included as the 'piece' around which we work. Your life as a writer becomes the terrain for the coaching activity. I am concerned about you as writer and your journey as a writer in addition to that which you produce in the process. That includes your skill set, your dreaming, your commitment and the vicissitudes of your journey as writer. I am interested in you becoming the best possible writers you can be.
HOW DOES COACHING WORK?
The form coaching takes, in addition to content editing, is conversation. As a coach our conversation concerns your process as a writer. We discuss your hopes and fears. We dance with your anxiety and joy. In that conversatrion, I am able to guide you through all that surrounds the execution of your project from concept to completetion. This may include finding your voice, your genre and honing your story idea in addition to improving your skills in all apsects of writing a professional work. Frequently coaching includes overcoming inertia, getting orgainzed as a writer (e.g. discipline) and contending with deep set resistance. (One writer I heard about in graduate school would tighten all the lids on the condiment bottles in the frig before she could sit down to write.)
Successful coaching includes your commitment to structuring the time necessary to do your work and willingness to use your financial assets to pay me to assist you.

LOGISTICS
I work nationally and internationally with clients. Manuscripts can be sent electronically. I edit and make notes using Microsoft Word Millinium & Final Draft. I work on the telephone or in person.
INTERNATIONALS
English is a second language for some international clients. Because of my extensive background in Language Structures, I am able to effectively bring those texts into American English.
FEE
$100 an hour for coaching which includes analysis and manuscript evaluation. $500 minimum commitment.
