I coach writers becoming the best possible writers they can be. I am able to guide you through novel making from concept to completetion. This may include finding your voice, your genre and honing your story idea in addition to improving your skills in all apsects of writing a professional novel. A MANUSCRIPT ANALYSIS INCLUDES

I analyze novels in progress and rough drafts. An analysis includes an evaluation of Plot, Structure, Character, Dialogue and Narrative. You receive both typed overview notes and specific suggestions on the text. Telephone interviews are available to elaborate on the notes and give you the opportunity to ask questions once you have had time to digest the notes.

LOGISTICS

I work nationally and internationally with clients. Manuscripts can be sent electronically. I edit and make notes using Microsoft Word Millinium & Final Draft. I work on the telephone or in person.

INTERNATIONALS

English is a second language for some international clients. Because of my extensive background in Language Structures, I am able to effectively bring those texts into American English.

FEE

$75 an hour for coaching, analysis and manuscript evaluation. If you want an estimated charge for your manuscript, please call me at 970-385-5884. (If you want to estimate the charge yourself: It takes me approximately 2 minutes to read/analyze a double spaced page of text. Multiply the number of your double spaced pages by 2 and divide by 60. Multiply the result by $75. For example: Two hundred double spaced pages x 2 = 400 minutes divided by 60 minutes would result in 6.67 hours x $75 = $500. That would be an estimate of the basic reading/analysis charge for your text. If you choose to do so, add an hour for your telephone conference. The estimate for your text would be $575.)
