Ah yes, the art of fiction. How writing is written as Ms. Stein puts it. THE NOVEL. It is surprising that the novel still persists with all the new media and digital storytelling opps and yet it does.

Novels can take form in myriad ways. I note lately the array of really fine international novels available in the bookstore. What are the ingredients that make a novel work? What are the ingredients that will make your novel work?

In coaching a writer to write a novel, I first need to determine the level of expertise and experience that a novelist has under his/her belt. That given, I work with the novelist to enhance skills, which are needed to write the novel and to clarify the basic aspects that are present in all good novels.

Coaching includes a conversation about character and story arcs, dialogue and appropriate and consistent point of view. I also cover the guidelines for the genre in which a writer is writing.

The emphasis is on coaching the writer to the fullness of his/her ability, talents and skill set base. I amalways interested in the humanistic aspect of the novelist,, not just the product; although product is the game we are playing together.

I aim to support you to produce a professional novel that you can take into the world of publishing or self-publish.
