AN
INTRODUCTION TO SCREENWRITING FOR BEGINNERS
This lecture highlights the basics of scriptwriting
from concept to market in both Hollywood and the Indie market.

SCREENWRITING FOR BEGINNERS
General introduction to how a script is written.
List of resources for participants and suggestions on how to enhance
your scriptwriting abilities. We'll work on your concept, log
line, treatment and scene breakdown.

WRITE A
SCREENPLAY IN 12 WEEKS
Learn treatment, structure, character and story arc,
scene development and how to tell your story in pictures. I
cover classic three-act structure and the anatomy of scene
development plus screenplay formatting.
Students
will have a rough draft of a script in 12 weeks if they participate
fully in the course. There will be a list of books and
videotapes that students can use to further enhance their
learning. A participant will do best if he/she has a minimum
of 10 hours a week to write.

presents his/her own writing and reads the work of others in the
